That could be because the Yukon is a place that prizes individuality and quirkiness, or it may be because the land itself is simply so inspiring. Arts Underground is a community art facility that is a great place to drop in to shop for local arts and crafts as well as check out current exhibitions by local artists.
Adäka Cultural Festival
If you’re interested in First Nations culture and art, then the Adäka Cultural Festival is for you. A seven day festival showcasing over 150 artists that encompasses both traditional and contemporary art, music, dance and culture.
Fireweed Community Market
Everything you find at the Fireweed Community Market is grown, baked or crafted by Yukon artisans. The market is held twice a week throughout summer.
Yukon Artists @ Work
Named one of the top 10 hidden gems of Canada by TripAdvisor, Yukon Artists @ Work is an artists’ co-op that was created to give artists their own venue to promote their art. This is a great place to shop for unique fine art pieces.
Arts in the Park
Every weekday during summer, LePage Park in downtown Whitehorse provides the venue for both northern and visiting performers at Arts in the Park. Entertainment runs the gamut from music and dance to storytelling and theatre. Local artisans also demonstrate their skills. You’ll meet plenty of locals here as they enjoy their lunch hour in the sun.

Yukon Arts Centre
With its stunning mountain backdrop, the Yukon Arts Centre is the Yukon’s premier venue for visual and performing arts. Aside from a public art gallery and outdoor sculpture garden, the YAC attracts national and international headliners.
